Using the site

By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to place an order.

Products and colours

We describe and photograph every piece as accurately as we can. Natural fibres such as cashmere, wool and camel hair vary slightly from batch to batch, and screens show colour differently, so small differences in shade and texture are part of the character of the cloth and not a defect. Some images are illustrative.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and include shipping, duties and taxes; the total shown at checkout is all you pay. Your bank may display an approximate amount in your local currency and may charge its own conversion fees. Payment is processed securely by Stripe and is taken when you place your order.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send your order confirmation. Pieces are made in small numbers; if an item turns out to be unavailable, or a price or description was clearly wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full. We may also decline orders that appear fraudulent. You may cancel an order within 12 hours of placing it by writing to hello@shorterwinter.com; after that it can no longer be cancelled, but it may be returned under our returns policy.

Shipping and returns

Delivery times and conditions are set out in our shipping policy. You may return unworn pieces within 14 days of delivery as described in our return policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Accounts

Please keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you may ask us to close it at any time.

Intellectual property

All designs, photographs, text and the Shorter Winter name are our property. Please do not copy or use them without written permission.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. This does not affect liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

We may update these terms; the version on this page when you place an order applies to that order. See also our privacy policy.
