Our coats are cut with room for a sweater or tailoring underneath. If you are between sizes, take your usual size.

Our sweaters have an oversized, relaxed fit with dropped shoulders. Take your usual size for a relaxed drape, or size down for a closer fit.

Dry clean only, and only when needed. Between wears, brush gently with a natural-bristle clothes brush, let the coat rest on a broad, shaped hanger, and air it after wearing. Store it in a breathable cotton garment bag, never plastic, away from direct sunlight.

Hand wash in cool water with a wool or cashmere detergent, or dry clean. Press out the water in a towel without wringing, and dry flat in shape, away from heat. Fold rather than hang. A cashmere comb removes any small pills that appear with wear.

Store pieces clean, folded in breathable bags with cedar or lavender, and air your wardrobe regularly.

As soon as your return arrives and has been checked, we refund the price of the item to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few business days to show it.

Orders can be cancelled or changed within 12 hours of being placed: write to hello@shorterwinter.com with your order number. After 12 hours your order is already being prepared and can no longer be cancelled, but you can still return it within 14 days of delivery.

Yes. On a sold-out piece, leave your email and size, and we will write to you when it is made again.
